Seattle decides to use salt as a deicer.

MyNorthwest.com has an article on how Seattle will now use salt on the roads as a deicing agent in the event of severe weather. All that I can say is that I am really glad that I don’t live in Seattle and am on the outskirts now as I have no desire to see my car get corroded/ eaten by the deicer. Granted I probably am paranoid as I am the only person I know who religiously cleans the car and washes the chassis during the winter months.

So congratulations Seattle folks. You probably are going to be in a similar situation as this year but can now look forward to corrosion as well. Why not just get some chains and shovel your street like the rest of us do?
