Our shaved dog. You can see the poor baby has had her right leg, patch by her tail, right ribs, both front legs and left side were all shaved.

The good news is she is looking so much better now that she is off the pain killers

Leelu is now home and recovering from her surgery.

Meat is meat!

Every few weeks we need to stock up on bones for the dogs. The way that we normally do this is to purchase 4 to 5 racks of beef ribs and then carve them up and freeze them individually so they are easy to ration. As you can see Eeyore really wanted to get in on the action!

Wednesday howl

Every Wednesday the flood alarm is tested and without fail Eeyore has a howl (heartily encouraged by his mother I might add). Anyway without further ado I present the howling Bullie.

Dog leash V2.0

Well the dogs managed to trash their last set of leashes so it was time for some new ones. As you can see these work great and hook to both the prong and the harness. We took them for a test drive and they were fantastic!

Yay! More snow!

What a strange day. No snow in the forecast, warm day and yet along comes five o'clock and it starts snowing. Even better it's continued and started to stick. So we decided to do what any normal person would do and took the dogs for a walk to enjoy it!

Reincarnation at work

I think I have finally worked it out. If you are a bad person you get reincarnated at a slug, if on the other hand you were super-awesome (like Mother Theresa, Ghandi or the Dali Llama) then you get reincarnated as a dog in our house.

Here is a case in point. Today we had a late lunch of cold cuts (salmon, corned beef, bree, tomato and olives on a french loaf). The dogs of course ended up having something somewhat comparable.

Well here is my first attempt at uploading a YouTube video. The quality is actualy better than I thought it would be as it was filmed using my point and shoot digital camera (Pentax Optio Z10).

As you can see the hound is getting quite adept at this.

We had some more snow on Christmas day. We took the dogs down to the park for a walk and to let them run on a long lead. Needless to say it was a fantastic way to tire them out and they slept all day afterwords.

Did anyone say bones?

Yes they are spoilt rotten and they love it! The dogs get quite sad if they don't get two to three bones a day to munch on.
