Ballard farmers market

Yup it's more Ballard pictures. The farmers market was an interesting experience and we came to the conclusion that there is no chance in hell we could live in Ballard. It is a lot of fun to visit, but unless you are a +10 hippy with at least a +7 veganism your chances of enjoying it are slim.

Starting to get some snow in the Puget Sound

There was much excitement that we would get some snow yesterday based on the cold tempratures we have been hit with. Unfortunately this morning seems to have snowed everywhere but our house where we only had trace levels.

The good news is that we are expected to get hit with heavier snow later this morning and into the early evening.

More Pit Bull attacks

I always find it sad when there is a dog attack. Unfortunately 22% of all dog attacks in the Seattle area are Pit Bull’s (note NOT Bull Terriers which have no relation to Pits). This is apparently the largest percentage of any single dog breed. Last night I was watching the news and they has an article on how a 72 year old woman was attacked by two Pit Bulls. Fortunately the owner of the dogs is being held accountable and if found guilty could face around 10 years of prison time.

My condolences to the people who were subjected to this horrific brutality and I hope they have a safe and speedy recovery.

Kenworth Air is based on Lake Washington and runs a seaplane business. From where we were we could see them landing and taking off on a regular basis.

Last day in Seattle

Chris and Shelly are special. So special that we decided to take them for a ride in the short bus on Easter to go and have a beer before they left. Here are some pictures from their last day in Seattle with us (yes we are sad).
Fortunately we think they are now to Americanized to survive in Australia for long and will soon be back.

Pike Place Market

Today we went down to Seattle to go and get my snowboard bindings replaced after yesterdays accident at the slopes. Whilst we where there we decided to visit the market and get something for dinner this evening.
